BRIEF

GLOBAL CLIMATE HUB PROGRAMME

The New York Times brought its Climate Hub to life as an expansive, multi-day live experience designed to explore the climate crisis through journalism, dialogue and storytelling. The programme featured a wide range of voices including world leaders, scientists, cultural figures and activists, delivering a continuous schedule of talks, interviews and panel discussions. Over the course of the event, thousands of attendees engaged with an evolving agenda that blended editorial insight with real-time global conversation, creating a high-profile platform for debate, collaboration and public engagement.

CHALLENGES

LIVE EDITORIAL SCALE, ZERO ROOM FOR ERROR

The Climate Hub required a fully functioning live editorial environment to be built and delivered at scale, bringing together a continuous programme of speakers, panels and interviews across 11 consecutive days. With global attention on the event, schedules were constantly evolving, requiring rapid coordination across production teams, contributors and technical crews. The space itself had to operate as both a broadcast hub and an immersive public venue, balancing live journalism with a high volume of in-person and digital engagement in real time.
